Howard W. Wooding Sr., 90, formerly of Center St. Lock Haven passed away February 3, 2018 at the Susque View Home where he had been a resident. He was born January 25, 1928 in Jersey Shore to the late Burton and Mildred Farringer Wooding. He was united in marriage to Violet L. Moore who preceded him in death July 6, 1995.

Howard was a graduate of the Lock Haven High School and had attended the Williamsport Area Community College taking up the trade of masonry. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II in the Medic Core and was a member of the Flemington First Church of Christ. He had worked most of his life at AVCO Lycoming in Williamsport retiring from the plant in the mid eighties, he had also been an avid roller skater and a member of the Lock Haven American Legion and VFW.

Survivors include two sons; Howard W. Wooding Jr., of Lock Haven and Lynn B. Wooding of Windsor, CT., six grand children; Wendy, Carrie, Amber, Kodi, Tyler and Sierra, one great grandson; Noah. Also surviving is a sister-in-law; Vivian Glossner, 3 nephews and 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by on sister; Dolly Kitchen and a brother, Gary Wooding.

Funeral Services for Howard W. Wooding Sr., will be held on Tuesday February 6, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Flemington First Church of Christ 714 Fairpoint Rd. Mill Hall, PA. Officiating will be pastor Mark Riley of the church. Interment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park. Family and friends will be received in the church one hour prior to the services. Memorials in Howard’s name can be made to Wounded Warriors Association in care of Operations First Response, 20037 Dove Hill Rd. Culpeper, VA, 22701.

Uncle Howard was a good man who enjoyed his life. He will be missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers go to his sons and grandchildren.
