Kenneth Robert Stabley, Jr. (Rob), 56 of 12  W. Summit St., Avis  passed away April 8, 2018 at his residence.   He was born in  Lock Haven on March 10, 1962 to Kenneth R. (Sherry) Stabley, Sr. and the late Dorothy J. Simcox Stabley. 

Ken graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1980 and from Penn College in 2004.   He was employed by Keane Group as a Northeast Truck Supervisor of the sand division.  He had previously worked as a mechanic and driver for Trican, and as a maintenance supervisor for Centre Concrete and also International Paper of Lock Haven from 1987 to 2002.  Ken had served from 1982 to 1987 in the U.S. Army Reserves, he loved racing and driving race cars, camping, four wheeling, board games, putting puzzles together, and playing his drums and music.  He especially loved spending time with his family and many friends. Ken had also been the owner of Scale Racing League in Pennsylvania and Virginia.  He also owned and operated Tangent D.J. Service.   

In addition to his father, Ken is survived by his fiance` Sandra Bower, his son; Keegan (Alexa), a daughter; Kirsti (Brion), stepsons; Kenny and Zach, a brother; Kevin (Mary), nephews, Matt, Lee and Kaleb and a neice, Kara and his four legged pals Shania, Rocky, and Sira.  He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy J. Simcox Stabley and grandparents; William and Edna Simcox, and Robert and Betty Stabley.

Funeral services for Kenneth R. Stabley Jr. will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St. Lock Haven.  Officiating will be Pastor T. R. Hardic of Juniata United Methodist Church, Altoona.  Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until time of services. 

In lieu of flower memorials, donations can be made directly to the Yost- Gedon Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.

Hi Sandy -- I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Prayers are going up for you and your family. He was only 2 years older than Susan when she passed. Way too soon and so young. My heart goes out to you. Stay strong! Take care!
