Charles (Don) White, Age 73, of 173 Linnwood Drive, Lock Haven passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Gatehouse Hospice in Williamsport. He was born in Lock Haven on December 21, 1945 to the late Malcolm and Dorothy Seybold White.

Don was a 1963 graduate of the Lock Haven High School and had served in the Marine Corp during Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Jane Swinehart October 3, 1970. Don had served on the Wayne Township zoning board and recreational committee, instrumental in creating the nature park and the new baseball field. He was a member of the IBEW local 812 where he was employed for 44 years as an electrician. A member of the Avis American Legion Post # 284 and the Lock Haven Moose. He had attended the McElhattan United Methodist Church and was a lifetime member of the Wayne Township fire company.

Don loved spending time with his grandchildren Austin and Kendra, fishing, boating, camping and was a avid Penn State fan. He loved being in the outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved building cardboard boats to take to Watkins Glen and had restored two hotrods, a1967 Mustang and a 1940 Chevy.

Survivors include his wife; Jane White (Swinehart), his son; Brian (Michelle) of Jersey Shore, his daughter; Michelle L. (Matt) Johnson of Beech Creek, grandchildren; Austin and Kendra of Jersey Shore, two sisters; Amy Amacher, Doris Fritz, two brothers; Scott (Evelyn) White, Paul (Ed). Preceded in death by a sister Madalyn Myers, June Heaton, and a half brother Charles. A very special friend Terry Condo.

A memorial service with full military honors for Charles (Don) White will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Reverend Laura King of the McElhattan United Methodist Church. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home one hour prior to services.

Interment will be at the discretion of the family, and flowers will be provided by the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the McElhattan United Methodist Church, the Gatehouse Hospice or the Wayne Township Recreation Committee.
