Josephine N. Ungard, 85, passed away August 12, 2012 at the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit where she had been a resident for the past two years. She had formally resided at the Putnam Manor, Lock Haven. Josephine was born in Lock Haven, Pa. August 20, 1926 to the late Ralph W. and Cleda F. Duck Nichols. Mrs. Ungard was united in marriage to Edward H. Ungard July 8, 1949 who preceded her in death March 7, 1990. She was a 1945 graduate of the Lock Haven High School and had been a member of the Lock Haven First Church of Christ; she had also been active with the Lock Haven Community Chorus. Josephine had worked for Piper Aircraft, the Jersey Shore State Bank and the First National Bank of Lock Haven. Survivors include three sisters, Kathleen L. Ryan of Albuquerque New Mexico, Genevieve (Robert) Kraft of Freeport Illinois and Velma M. Bower of Lock Haven. Also surviving are many Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her only child, Randolph E. Ungard who passed away March 11, 2010. Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Lamar Township, Clinton County, Pa. There will be no visitation. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Salmon. Memorial contributions in Josephine's name will be accepted to the Lock Haven First Church of Christ, 330 North Vesper Street, Lock Haven.
