Alexander "Jesse" Reeder left the loving arms of his wife Jackie, and calmly reached out for the claim of his beloved Jesus Christ on July 12, 2014 at 8:43pm.  He was born July 23, 1925 in Castanea, the son of Jesse Earle Reeder and Mary Catherine McKeague Reeder. He was united in marriage to Ann Alice Freas of Howard, Pa, December 25, 1948, who preceded him in death on August 29, 1990.  He married Jackie A. Hull on May 17, 2008 who survives. Jesse was a long time member of the Dunnstown United Methodist Church, Lock Haven since 1951 where his membership remains.  "Jesse" as he was best known, attended the Castanea School then Lock Haven High School graduating in 1943.  After graduating and during his senior year he went to work.  He worked at the Penna Woven Wire Co., later known as Penn Woven, the Chevrolet Garage in Jersey Shore, PA,   as a bookkeeper until 1951.  He then accepted a position with the Lock Haven Savings and Loan, acting as President and Chief Executive Officer, holding those offices until he retired in 1987.  He then attended Realtor classes and became a Real Estate agent with the Paul W. Houch Realtor Agency in Lock Haven until retiring in 1998. He was a 32nd degree Mason at Williamsport Consistory since around 1943, the Lafayette Lodge #199-Free and Accepted Masons of Lock Haven, Pa. and was a member of the Royal Arch Chapter.  Jesse was the oldest living member of the Lafayette Lodge #199 in Lock Haven until his death. He also served as a chairman of the Lock Haven Chamber of Commerce.

Jesse was a resident of Avis from 1948 through the early 50's , where he served as secretary of the Avis Boro Counsel.  After moving to Lock haven Jesse and his wife Ann from Avis lived at 200 Walton Road, and 525 Guardlock Drive, Dunnstown from 1951 until 2009 when he moved to Loyalsock, Williamsport.  In December 2012, he and Jackie moved to Ridgecrest apartments at Riverwoods in Lewisburg, PA.

Jesse loved his family, his wife Jackie, his church, church friends, and enjoyed taking long walks, and working outside with his flowers.  He enjoyed taking care of his home, musical concert events and life itself, giving all good and bad as a loving gift from God.

He was a wonderful, honest, truly faithful man in all ways, and a wonderful part of my life for the short time God gave us to be together.  I loved him dearly and will miss him so much; he was so good to me, his wife, Jackie.
