Wilbur Lingle, 96, formerly of Kephart Plaza and a resident of Susque-View Home passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Lock Haven Hospital. He was born in Millheim on September 20, 1921 to Morris and Agnes Davis Lingle.

Wilbur had been employed by PPL for a number of years, he then delivered newspapers for The Lock Haven Express. Wilbur was recognized as the man of the hour at the annual volunteer luncheon on May 4, 2007. This honor was for his 710 hours of delivering Meals on Wheels through the Lock Haven and Mill Hall Centers. He volunteered calling bingo at Susque-View for many years. Wilbur enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, the Boston Red Sox, and the Green Bay Packers.

Wilbur is survived by his son David and his wife Barbara from Huntingtown, MD.

He was preceded in death December 4, 2004 by his wife Janet Berry whom he married August 13, 1948. He was also preceded by his son; Robert, his brother; Guy, his sisters; Myrtle Heimer and Marian Saboski.

Memorial Services for Wilbur Lingle will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven with Pastor Steve Salmon of the Lock Haven First Church of Christ officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Meals on Wheels through the funeral home.

My fondest memories of Uncle Wilbur are his infectious laugh & how he loved to kid around. So sorry we were unable to attend the service but you are in our thoughts & prayers. God Bless.
