Martin E. Herlocher, Jr., 91, of Park Avenue, Woolrich, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born on October 29, 1927 in Lock Haven to Martin & Ruth Geiger Herlocher.
Martin was a graduate of Lock Haven High School. He was united in marriage to the former Loretta Johnson who passed away June 2, 2018.
Martin had worked at the Woolrich Woolen Mills from 1943 until his retirement in 1993 as Chief Standards Engineer
He served in the US Army, WWII
Martin is survived by his son; Doug Herlocher of Keenesburg, CO, stepson: Randy (Thelma) Hunter of Lock Haven, a daughter: Debra (Mark) Kristensen of Williamsburg, VA, step daughter Pat (Eric) Merrifield, of Mill Hall, and grandchildren Renae (James) Gainey, Marcy White of Virginia Beach, VA, Amanda( Jamie) Pham of Harrisburg, PA and Brad (Bethany) Merrifield of Woolrich, four great granddaughters; Brittani, Alex, Quinn and Avery, and one great grandson, Cole Merrifield.
Martin was preceded in death by his brother Dr. James Herlocher.
Funeral services for Martin E. Herlocher, Jr will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Reverend Laura King of the Woolrich United Methodist Church. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Woolrich Cemetery.
