The time I spent with Dana was during our earlier years (teenage and younger) before we both left the Lock Haven area. I remember visits to her home at Christmas time and summer days spent at the cabin, swimming in the pond and enjoying big slices of watermelon on the porch. Grammy Powell always sent us to the front porch with the watermelon and instructions to " lean over the railing and don't make a mess." When I think back through the mental images of Dana she is always smiling or laughing or chuckling and in general cutting up. She was always excited about everything, just a bit afraid and full of energy. This is the way I will always remember her. I am a better person for having known her and I am glad I had a chance to spend time with her and all the cousins. I'm so sorry our time with her was too short.

Love and fond memories,
Cousin Dean Hanna

Kirby and all the family...we send our sympathy and heart thoughts at Dana's passing. Remembering her smile and excitement when she spoke of trips to PA and a car filled with her home made cookies, many kinds! We were happy to be fellow members at First Lutheran in Norfolk with both of you. ken and melissa zaletski
