Music by The Piano Brothers

Robert Paul Entz, 78,  born June 9, 1941 in Lock Haven passed away Oct. 30, 2019 at Susque-view nursing home in Lock Haven. Robert was the identical twin brother of William Elwood Entz. The two brothers enjoyed living with their Mother Anna Williams Entz and Father Elwood Entz in a small home at the corner of North Highland Street and West Third St. in the hill section off of Bellefonte Ave. At a very young age both of the brothers were stricken with encephalitis caused by the measles, leaving them both intellectual challenged.

Their parents knowing this would be a hard life, joined with other like parents and Josephine Conrad (a retired teacher) and helped to form what became Crafts Inc. at that time residing in the old Flemington elementary School. After multiple locations and undergoing a name change, Crafts has become Clinton County Committee Connection or more commonly known today as the four CCCC located between Washington Street and Henderson Street here in Lock Haven. Roberts death leaves William as the last remaining original member still attending the Four CCCC.

For years people would see Anna with Bill and Bob in tow walking from their home on third Street to the A&P store (now where McDonalds’ now stands), while their Father was out on the road driving truck for McCormick Trucking Company. Elwood and Anna took the boys (as they were known) everywhere that any other children would enjoy going, and at time suffering the long stares from passerby’s due to their disability. Roberts parents were so proud of their sons.

Robert lived with his brother and two other house-mates at 2099 Coudersport Pike, Lock Haven Pa. in a Group Home managed by Community Services Group Inc.

Robert was well mannered, outgoing, likable guy who loved to go visiting, watching old Westerns on TV, going out to dinner, go to parades, fairs, carnivals, ice cream, and Church. Roberts last hours of conversation he talked about Jesus.

Robert is survived by his bother William E. Entz, first cousins Jean Hoy Snavley of Camp Hill Pa., Donna Hoy Batschelet and Husband Duane Batschelet of Avis Pa., and Jerry L. Hoy and wife Jere (Guardians) of Lock Haven, along with many second and third cousins, and his cat Annie.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Tuesday, November  5, 2019 at 10:30 am in the Holy Spirit Parish St. Agnes Church, 3 East Walnut St., Lock Haven with Father Joseph Orr as celebrant.    Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
