Paul was a native of Blanchard who called Mill Hall his home. He was a 1947 graduate of Lock Haven High School. Paul enjoyed his well deserved retirement after 44 years of self employment as a home builder!  Prior to his self employment, Paul was a construction worker for Lovett Homes in Bristol, a cement finisher for Henry Baton, where he helped build the first women’s dormitory at Penn State. He received an award for carpentry from Penn Tech of which he was very proud.  He was a lifetime member of the Lock Haven Elks and was a Trustee for the Beech Creek Legion, where he had been a member for 44 years.

Paul joined the US Army in 1950 and served until 1953.  At basic training in Ft. Dix, NJ Paul volunteered for the Korean War, where he was both a Squad Leader and a Platoon Leader for the 11 months and 11 days he was in the country. He received a Combat Infantry Badge and a Bronze Star for his service in Korea.  Upon his return to the US, he was stationed in Camp Pickett, VA as a First Field Instructor.  Paul went from an enlistee to 1st Sergeant in 3 years.

Paul was married to his wife, Patricia, for 69 years! He is the proud father of five sons- Thomas, Paul Jr., Scott, Todd, and Patrick, who passed away 27 years ago. He also had two sisters; Doris who is deceased, Lauralou and a brother Harold who is deceased.  Paul and Patricia are blessed with three grandchildren.
